This is most likely a sign of someone cheating with a coworker. It’s normal for a coworker to call from time to time. Even more so if they are calling for something work related. However, if you find that your partner is constantly talking to a coworker, and those calls are happening late at night, then there’s something up. Remember that your time in the evenings is “family time”. If you find that someone of the opposite sex is suddenly taking up that time, then there’s something wrong.

Have your spouse’s friends taken over your relationship? Do you feel like the third wheel in your own marriage? If your spouse is always out with friends, they may be using this as an escape from you. Also, they may be using the excuse of being with friends to cover for the times when they are cheating with their spouse. Constantly going out is not a good sign for your relationship.

In a normal relationship, you should have some kind of interaction with your partner’s friends. You don’t have to be their food friend, but you should at least be aware of their existence. There’s a saying, “If you haven’t met their friends, you aren’t their girlfriend!” This is still applicable for marriages as well. If your spouse is cheating they may want to keep their social life and married life separate. They may also not want to have their friends feel pressured to maintain their deception. You should be very alarmed if you don’t know any of your spouse’s friends.

While your spouse is cheating with someone in their social circle, they may not want you in their social circle. To avoid suspicion, they may offer to hang out with you and your friends. This hides the fact that they don’t want to be with you. It’s a common tactic to hide the fact that they are up to mischief when they are with their friends. One more thing to consider is that if they always want to hang out with your friends, it’s possible they are cheating on you with one of your friends. This allows them to interact while you are around thereby avoiding suspicion.

If you are no longer welcome to hang out with your spouse’s friends, it’s likely that it is because their friends know who their secret lover is. They may make you feel like you don’t belong in that circle to mask the fact that they are cheating.

You should encourage your spouse to talk about their social circle with you. Better yet, they should try to incorporate you whenever possible. Subconsciously you will be creating a situation where they have to choose. Don’t leave an open door for this kind of divide in your relationship.
