He loves cologne?
It’s very common for men to groom themselves more when they are having an affair. Women often have a scent that they prefer and it’s common for them to give colognes as gifts. If your man has a new scent…. Something fishy might be going on.
FTD coupons in the mail
Have you been asking your spouse to get flowers for you yet they never do? Have you noticed coupons from FTD appearing in the mail? This might be a sign that someone in your house is buying bouquets for people.
Sales reps know your spouse
Have you walked into a department store with your spouse and the woman at the perfume counter immediately recognized him? Or perhaps the sales women in the lingerie section? This may be a sign that they are frequenting this place. Another sign might be that when you walk into a lingerie section of a store with your spouse, the sales person has a familiar wide eyed look at your spouse but says nothing. Keep an eye out for such things.
Shopping at new retailers
Have you noticed that your spouse shops at new retailers? Stores such as Victoria’s Secret are notorious for being the preferred retailer of adulterers. If you notice that your spouse is suddenly shopping lingerie brands, exotic alcohols, cigars, designer clothing, and restaurants – chances are there’s an affair going on.
Using cash all the time
Cheating definitely costs money. Someone having an affair will have to spend extra money on gas to meet with their secret lover. They will have to pay for meals. Expenses include hotels, rooms, incidental expenses, gifts, alcohol and more. In most situations a family’s budget simply did not plan for an affair. This creates an additional financial strain. To hide away from getting caught, it’s likely that your spouse will start paying cash for all of these items. The result is an excess of cash purchases which can’t be accounted for. You may find that while reviewing your bank statements, there is a decrease in the number of debit card / credit card purchases but an increase in ATM or counter withdrawals. Also to hide suspicion, your spouse may choose to use cash all the time – so that you can’t identify the suspicious purchases.
